The MARC Center, located at 1705 Pecos Avenue in Rockdale, Texas, is operated by the Milam Association for Retarded Citizens (MARC). Established in 1965, this nonprofit organization provides essential services and support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Milam County. The center focuses on promoting independence, community inclusion, and enhancing the quality of life for its clients through various programs and resources. To support its mission and services, the MARC Center relies heavily on community fundraising efforts. A notable event is the annual M.A.R.C. Ride, a 100-mile motorcycle ride organized by the Bad To The Bone Riders of Rockdale. This fundraiser has been instrumental in raising over $436,000, enabling the center to expand its facilities, purchase transportation vans, and fund various activities for its clients.
